The effects of the coronavirus on DSV operations

The pandemic is already caused several countries to announce quarantine or restrictions concerning passanger traffic. So far the restrictions do not affect freight transportation and the boarders in Europe are still open for goods traffic.

We at DSV monitor actively the development of coronavirus situation. The pandemic is, however, already caused several countries to announce quarantine or restrictions concerning passenger traffic. So far the restrictions do not affect freight transportation and the boarders in Europe are still open for goods traffic.

The restrictions cause, however, challenges in all logistics and create delays deliveries and congestion. This may lead to additional costs, which might be good to consider when booking transportation. We will inform you actively about the possible changes in our operations. E.g. restrictions in shipping may change the situation in a very short notice.

Your DSV contacts are prepared to give you more detailed information, if needed. On DSV Group's web site there is also a listing of the operational status in DSV countries.

In order to keep both our staff and cooperation partners safe we have implemented several practices and informed our personnel about them. From now on we will participate all meetings using remote access such as Skype. We will also restrict meetings at our own premises to the minimum. The visitors are required to fill a health screening form before granting access to our premises. All work related travelling abroad is mainly forbidden and we favour working from home. We have also given our personnel instructions about maintaining high level of hand and general hygiene.

Although the situation is challenging we believe, that by conducting in responsible and calm way we will be able to minimize its effects.
