Pre-advice of strike in Portugal on 12 August

Fuel tanker drivers in Portugal have issued a pre-advice of a strike for the 12th August.

In Portugal, there is a pre-advice of a strike for the 12th August, initially made by fuel tanker drivers.

April this year, a similar strike of fuel tank drivers leaded to widespread shortages causing prompted queues at petrol stations across the country, while hundreds were closed. Airports and other essential infrastructures were forced to resort to their emergency supplies.

August is the main holiday period in Portugal, so if the strike begins, the impact to transports from and to Portugal will be huge and delays can be expected.
