Cookie Policy

Cookies make the interaction between you and the website faster and easier. Most websites use cookies in order to improve user experience. This is done by enabling the website to 'remember' you either for the duration of your visit (using a 'session cookie') or for repeat visits (using a 'persistent cookie').

Cookies do different jobs: remembering your preferences, letting you navigate between pages more efficiently, generally improving your experience of the website, and letting the website discover what kind of information you are looking for.

If a website doesn’t use cookies, it will think you are a new visitor every time you move to a new page on the site. As an example, you will not be able to stay logged in if you move from one page to another without a cookie to 'remember' your status.

DSV will occasionally use cookies to enable us to target advertising or marketing messages based on your location and/or browsing habits. We aim to give you better access to relevant information and spare you from information that is irrelevant for you.

Cookies may be set by our website ('first party cookies') or they may be set by other websites who run content on the page you are viewing ('third party cookies').

Cookies are used to collect information:

  • visitors' IP address
  • browser type
  • time used
  • visited pages
  • how visitor got to the website
  • from which domain visitor has come to the website
  • from which server visitor has come to the website

DSV makes use of Hotjar to monitor users' behavior on the website such as how user click and scrolls. Hotjar relies on anonymous information thus no personal information is collected or stored. Hotjar is used by DSV web editors to improve user experience.

It may seem intrusive to have a website storing information on your computer or mobile device, particularly when this information is stored and used by a third party. Although this is generally quite harmless you may not, for example, want to see advertising that has been targeted to your interests.

That is why it is possible to block some or all cookies if you prefer, or even to delete cookies that have already been set. For example in Internet Explorer you can manage cookies by clicking Tools, Internet Options and then choosing "Privacy" tab.

Please be aware that you might lose some functions of our website if you block or delete cookies.
